More about our furniture removal service

Furniture Removal in Dublin

Furniture removal usually means one of two jobs. Either something has to go for good, like the old sofa, the broken bed or the wardrobe that won’t fit the new room. Or something has to get from one place to another in one piece. We do both, across Dublin, and we’ve been carrying the city’s furniture since 1982.

Getting rid of old furniture

We collect from any room and any floor, and take apart beds, wardrobes and units that won’t fit through the door in one piece. If a piece is still usable, we give it to Restore so it gets a second home. Whatever can’t be reused is disposed of legally. We hold waste collection permit NWCPO-25-13139-01, valid in all 26 counties.

That permit matters. If furniture you paid someone to take ends up dumped, you can be held responsible. Ask anyone you hire for their permit number. Ours is on this page.

Moving a few pieces

Bought a dresser on DoneDeal? Passing a table on to family? We move single pieces and small loads between addresses, wrapped and secured. If the new place isn’t ready, a piece can wait in our own secure storage. For a few items, our man and van service is often the best fit. For a full move, see house removals.

What it costs

A single piece is priced on the job: what it is, how heavy it is, and how easy it is to get out. For full clearances, our guide prices are €200–€400 for a studio or 1-bed and €500–€1,000 for a typical 3-bed house. Stairs, tight access and very heavy items push the price up. A short, easy job on a ground floor keeps it down.

Questions people ask us

How do I get rid of an old sofa or bed in Dublin?

Ring us with what it is and where it is. We collect it, and if it's in good condition it goes to Restore. If not, we dispose of it legally under our waste collection permit.

Do you donate furniture?

Yes. Usable furniture from our clearances is given to Restore, so it can be used again.

Is your furniture disposal legal?

Yes. We hold waste collection permit NWCPO-25-13139-01, valid in all 26 counties of the Republic of Ireland, and all waste is disposed of legally. Always check that whoever takes your furniture holds a permit, because you can be held responsible if it is dumped.

Can you move just one piece of furniture?

Yes. A single wardrobe, a piano or a sofa you've bought second-hand, we can move it from one address to another. For a few items, our man and van service is often the right fit.

A single piece is priced on the job. For full clearances, our guide prices are €200–€400 for a studio or 1-bed and €500–€1,000 for a typical 3-bed house, depending on weight and volume.
