M50 → M1 northbound, 167 km, about 2 hours empty and 2.5 hours loaded. We cross the border at Newry — no stop, no paperwork for personal effects. Belfast city arrivals typically happen early afternoon.

The only logistical wrinkle is currency and tolls: the M1 in the Republic has toll sections, none on the Northern Ireland side. We quote in euro and absorb all tolls and fuel regardless of jurisdiction.
